The fast-casual chain is out to prove that its sourdough pizza crust is just as good naked as it is all dressed up.

Popular American franchise Schlotzsky’s, which specializes in sandwiches and pizza, has unveiled a new stunt designed to showcase just how sexy its pizza crust is.

The brand says it’s “giving crust lovers the overdue indulgence they deserve” – by bringing steamy videos of its sourdough crust to OnlyFans. On the oft-NSFW creator platform, Schlotzky’s is promoting its limited-edition Bare Naked Pizza – the pizza with a crust so delicious that one could happily eat it nude: sans cheese, sauce or toppings. On the new Bare Naked Pizza OnlyFans page, users can access hot, exclusive content and one-of-a-kind promotions.

“The idea for this pizza introduction was based on two insights: consumer tendency to choose a pizza based on the preferred style of crust, and Schlotzsky’s belief that they have the best crust in the business,” said Nicolle DuBose, vice-president of marketing at Schlotzsky’s. ”It’s a crust so good you could eat it toppingless. Schlotzsky’s stands behind this bold claim by adding to its menu to include something truly amazing – a pizza with nothing on it.”

DuBose said that OnlyFans was a natural fit, because it enables the brand to playfully tease and entice fans. ”[It’s] an opportunity to engage both super fans as well as untapped audiences,” she explained.

Throughout the course of the campaign, which will be activated across various channels and consumer touchpoints, the brand will share what DuBose called “exclusive ‘steamy,’ ‘craveable’ and comedic content” including behind-the-scenes clips that depict how the pizza crust is made, available only to subscribers.

The campaign was developed by a team of in-house creatives and strategists. The brand says it entertained a range of pitches from team members from across departments and disciplines – and the provocative cross-channel OnlyFans concept came out on top.

“Unleash some cross-functional creative thinkers on a naked pizza assignment, and a branded Only Fans page is pretty much inevitable. Am I right?” joked DuBose.

The Bare Naked pizza will be made available across Schlotzsky’s 320 locations throughout the country during all of October, in celebration of National Pizza Month.
