Squarespace has embarked on the rollout of a campaign that follows three individuals, each of whom has created a small business website on the platform – the first step of building their ‘empires.’

Squarespace wants to embolden the next generation of creators to build their empires on its platform. To reach them, the brand’s award-winning in-house creative team has today launched the first glimpse of a three-spot campaign.

Each spot tells the story of a creative who has turned their passion into an ‘empire’ with Squarespace. The first spot, titled ‘Make the Fashion Empire,’ follows the journey of a retro designer who deems the web her runway. “I make me a business that I make on Squarespace, which makes me blow up selling my style, my tips and my very own line,” she says in the ad.

The campaign will run across TV and digital media throughout the US and Canada, the first of which is premiering today, with the following two airing on September 13 and September 19.

“Squarespace has long been supporting creatives as they bring ideas to life, and this is our first campaign speaking to the next generation of creators,” said David Lee, chief creative officer at Squarespace. “With our tools that allow anyone the ability to transact in multiple ways, we believe that creators now have the ability to transform their followers and communities into the next big business.”
