Burger King is encouraging UK Whopper fans to try its plant-based patties as it celebrates National Burger Day.
Burger King UK is letting customers swap Whopper with vegan burgers on National Burger Day
Tomorrow, August 25, is National Burger Day in the UK and Burger King is celebrating by giving away plant-based and vegan burgers as part of its ’Go Meat Free For Free’ campaign.
The deal is first-come-first-served, with 10,000 burgers available via the Burger King app.
The initiative stems from research that revealed how 51% of meat eaters across Britain wouldn’t try a plant-based burger even if it was free. A whopping 91% of Brits are meat-eaters, according to the study.
As part of Burger King’s plans to go 50% meat-free by 2030, it has launched its first-ever completely meat-free restaurant following a pilot takeover of its Leicester Square flagship earlier this year.
’Whopper Swapper’ is the next step in encouraging Brits to give its plant-based and vegan menu items a go.
