Canned water brand Liquid Death has roped in stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer to stand in as a fitness influencer to highlight why hydration is important.

The advertising campaign ‘Body by Bert’ features Kreischer in shiny blue briefs and a pink crop top – plus legwarmers – taking viewers through a 10-minute 80s-style workout video that instructs viewers how to get a body just like his.

His exercise routine consists of stuffing jalapeño poppers in his mouth, opening a bag of chips, eating chicken wings dipped in ranch dressing as part of leg day and doing couch squats – while taking breaks by drinking Liquid Death in between to keep hydrated.

The Liquid Death team collaborated with Kreischer on the execution of the campaign shot in Los Angeles. Merchandise, including ‘Powerbriefs’ like Kreischer’s, has been launched but currently remains sold out on its website.
