PepsiCo‘s Lipton has brought back Rapper T-Pain (AKA ‘Cousin T’) to put a spotlight on its new flavors of ice tea.

As part of the campaign, two spots titled ‘Have Some Tea with Cousin T’ have been launched. The first spot features the rapper schooling a family about how classic Southern sandwiches ‘po’ boys’ are the perfect pairing with Lipton Southern Sweet Tea. In the second spot, he's convincing them to work out less for more with the Lipton Immune Support Green Tea.

There will also be a national contest for the ultimate block party, with T-Pain hosting and performing – and $10,000 in grant money to someone who has had an impact on their community. Additional winners will receive grants up to $5,000.

The campaign was created by creative agency Ten35, with Edelman and OMD handling social and media, respectively.

T-Pain said: “I am the first to kickstart the tunes and get the party started. Hip-hop music started at a local block party because of the energy of everyone getting together in the spirit of neighborly love, and I can’t wait to share that with the winner and their community.”
