Booking.com is giving fans of Australia’s iconic soap opera Neighbours, the chance to book a stay in one of the TV show’s iconic homes.

In a campaign to coincide with the final episodes of the show, which wraps this month after 37 years on air, fans will be able to book a two-night stay at 28 Ramsay Street, the fictional residence of Karl and Susan Kennedy.

As part of the campaign, guests will receive a "Backyard Barbie & Beers" with Alan Fletcher, the actor who plays Karl Kennedy, before viewing the show’s final episode.

The campaign, created by Red Havas and Host/Havas, aims to highlight the unique places to stay that are on offer on Booking.com. The activity includes digital, social media and experiential.

Simon Clark, regional manager, PR & communications, Oceania at Booking.com, said, "Australia’s longest-running soap, Neighbours, has earned a very special place in the hearts of Aussies and fans all over the world. Booking is thrilled to be a part of Australian TV history, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to stay on the real-life Ramsay St (with some extra soap star perks)."

Alexandra Bryant, executive director at Red Havas, said, “When thinking of Aussie homes, it doesn’t get much more iconic than Ramsay St. Neighbours has been such a huge part of Australian culture for the last 37 years so it was the perfect partnership for Booking.com to showcase its choice, value and quality of Aussie homes on the site.”

In 2015 Airbnb offered Neighbours fans the chance to win a night's stay at the Ramsay Street set. The ad was also fronted by Alan Fletcher.
