Nike celebrates Rebel Girls to kick off Women’s Euros sponsorship
Nike has teamed up with women’s stories platform Rebel Girls to celebrate women footballers and inspire young girls in the run-up to the Uefa European Women’s Championship, of which Nike is the official sponsor.
Focused on women athletes, coaches and community leaders, the two empowerment brands will amplify the stories of women footballers and coaches from around the world to inspire young girls and celebrate the joy of the sport.
Rebel Girls created and produced original stories and illustrations of Nike athletes and communities. The digital stories will be available throughout Nike’s ecosystem including online, on the Nike app and across social channels, with seven audio stories available via the Rebel Girls’ app and website.

“As we celebrate 12 women footballers from 10 countries with Nike in Rebel Girls: Game-Changing Footballers, we empower girls to see themselves as champions as we amplify the barrier-breaking achievements of women athletes around the world. Rebel Girls is proud to partner with Nike to bring our innovative, empowering storytelling to girls across the globe,” said Jes Wolfe, Rebel Girls’ chief executive officer.
Nike will additionally produce posters of the athletes featuring Rebel Girls’ original illustrations in the athletes’ local regions.
“The women in this book are an inspiration as they set new levels of performance and break barriers on the journey to create an equal playing field. Not only are they inspiring young and old with their ability, passion and team spirit, but are genuinely committed to making a difference for the next generation of football players,” said Kim van Dijk, vice-president of Nike EMEA Kids.
The program will kick off on July 2, and continue through to the beginning of September, celebrating coaches and community leaders timed to International Day of the Coach.
