Today, Reddit has announced that it’s selected DoubleVerify as its first full-service ad verification and measurement partner.

With more than 100,000 active communities, Reddit is among the most popular sites in the US, offering advertisers valuable opportunities for discovery and engagement. Through the new partnership, advertisers can rest assured that their media buys on the site are legitimate and measured with accuracy and precision.

“As interest in our audience and advertising solutions grows globally, we continue to expand our verification and measurement offerings,” said Jen Wong, Reddit’s chief operating officer said in a statement today. “Partnering with DoubleVerify will provide Reddit’s advertisers additional insight into campaign performance and outcomes across our platform.”

Through the exclusive partnership, DoubleVerify will provide a suite of digital media measurement and data and analytics offerings to ensure ad campaigns published on Reddit are seen by real users, placed in brand-safe environments, free from fraudulent traffic and are delivered as intended in the appropriate geographic locations. These services are bucketed into four distinct categories: brand equity solutions; fraud and invalid traffic solutions; viewability solutions; and geo solutions.

The services provided by DoubleVerify, per today’s announcement, advance “Reddit’s commitment to supporting advertisers with access to independent, third-party granular quality and performance data that is timely, clear, and actionable.”

DoubleVerify’s chief executive Mark Zagorski argued in a statement today that the solutions will prove uniquely valuable to Reddit advertisers, who are reaching audiences who are often especially passionate. “User-generated content offers advertisers a unique opportunity to tap into genuine engagement from passionate online communities," he said. “At the same time, the dynamic nature of these user-led environments makes the need for comprehensive, third-party authentication critical.”

The new verification and measurement solutions will help advertisers answer this need, Zagorski claimed. “Our mission is to help brands improve the effectiveness of their online advertising, regardless of where they’re buying. We are giving advertisers real clarity and confidence in their digital investments.”
