As the chatter around inflation builds up, Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has unveiled a budget-friendly onesie for those heading to Royal Ascot.

The racecourse is synonymous with its elite dress code, which is why people wear their best outfits for the horseracing event – attracting the attendance of royals and celebrities.

Paddy Power is providing racegoers en route to the track with a £1 onesie – way cheaper than the morning suit and top hat (required to gain access to the venue’s Royal Enclosure), which would cost racegoers approximately £1,845.

A promotional video has also been rolled out on Paddy Power’s social channels featuring how an innocent racegoer commits faux pass by wearing a blingy waistcoat and a rainbow bow tie.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: “We feel like it’s about time racetracks reined their rules in a bit. It’s easier to figure out a sudoku puzzle than it is to decipher the dress code at some courses. So, we have created an all-in-one answer to punters’ problems... until they need the loo.”
