Breast Cancer Now highlights the support system it provides to those affected with breast cancer

The campaign, created by BMB and shot by award-winning photographer James Day, features 14 portraits of real people involved with Breast Cancer Now, from a nurse, psychotherapist and researcher to fundraisers, campaigners and volunteers. They all share their own personal experience of working with breast cancer patients and how they are there to help the patients move forward in life, answer questions they might have and help them accept the changes their body undergoes.

Breast Cancer Now aims to raise awareness about how it is ensuring life-saving research in its labs across the UK and Ireland, and has specialist nurses, services and trusted breast cancer information to support those with breast cancer.

The campaign will be live from June 9 until July 17 and will be showcased across press and radio, digital display and through static and animated social media posts.

Rachael Franklin, director of fundraising, communications and engagement at Breast Cancer Now, said: “We provide support in every way we can, and are able to do this thanks to the work of so many incredible individuals, some of whom we introduce the public to through this campaign – from our volunteers to our world-class researchers and expert nurses on our helpline, to people living with breast cancer, their family and friends. We want to get the message out loud and clear that if you’ve been affected by breast cancer you’re not alone – we’re here for you, every step of the way.”

Claudia Wallace, managing director at BMB, added: “By putting names and faces to all the incredible people behind Breast Cancer Now, we hope to show the breadth of expertise and support that’s available to people experiencing breast cancer, and help position Breast Cancer Now as the place to turn to for anyone going through it.”
