She also becomes the magazine’s new creative director as a part of the new deal.

In addition to her astronomically successful rap career, Minaj has made her indelible stamp upon pop culture in a number of other arenas. She’s appeared in films, was a judge on American Idol, is one of the most-followed celebrities on social media, and has partnered with some high-caliber brands in the past including Adidas, Diesel, Mercedes-Benz and Pepsi.

Her massive influence throughout the zeitgeist, coupled with her business acumen, have made her a perfect fit for the position of strategic adviser at MaximBet, according to the brand.

“Nicki is best known around the world as a mega superstar, but we know her as a brilliant businesswoman,” Daniel Graetzer, MaximBet’s chief executive, said in a statement. “Her role as a strategic advisor to MaximBet will be invaluable to us. She’s built one of the most powerful brands in the world, her own, and she’s applying that same savvy and creativity to our lifestyle sports betting brand. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with her – she is creative, smart, passionate and bold. There is no one better suited to helping us take this form of entertainment mainstream.”

MaximBet, owned by Carousel Group, describes itself as “an immersive entertainment and lifestyle experience, bringing the best in online betting and the coolest real-world experiences all on to one platform.” Launched in April 2021, it’s an approved gaming operator of both Major League Baseball and the National Basketball Association.
