B2B agency The Marketing Practice has acquired San Francisco-headquartered ABX specialists Campaign Stars.

This win marks TMP’s second US acquisition this year and fourth in the last 12 months, resulting in the employment of over 500 people. 150 of those are based in the US, with a presence in the UK, Germany and Australia as well.

Campaign Stars joins the previous acquisitions of strategic marketing specialists 90octane, insight specialist Kingpin and digital experiences consultancy Omobono. The addition of Campaign Stars will continue to strengthen ABM and on-demand ABX solutions.

The acquisition was supported by private equity firm Horizon Capital, which is helping TMP bring together a specialist B2B marketing portfolio to hold it accountable for growth and revenue impact.

Matt Harper, chief executive officer of The Marketing Practice, said: “Campaign Stars’ fusion of technology, data and process to create account-based experiences is a big leap forward for the ABM market. This latest acquisition is a fine example of how we can help more clients all over the world grow smarter.”

Henry Bruckstein, founder and chief executive officer at Campaign Stars, noted: “Being part of The Marketing Practice will enable us to enhance and scale our offering effectively and give our clients access to some of the best specialists in B2B technology across the whole funnel. We’re excited to see what’s now possible as we look to the global stage.”
