Dementia charity's debut ad highlights the vital work of carers / Dementia UK

‘I Live With Dementia’ aims to shed a light on caring for someone with the cognitive disease by stating that if you love someone with dementia, you’re living with it too.

According to the organization, more than 1 million people in the UK are expected to be living with dementia within the next three years, and this campaign aims to ensure carers are aware of the support that’s available to them.

“If you love someone living with dementia, you are living with it too,” said Dr Hilda Hayo, chief admiral nurse and chief executive officer at Dementia UK.

“Partners, children and wider family members can find it challenging to adapt to new routines and changes in behavior, in addition to getting the support they need following a diagnosis.”

Amplification for the ad will come from social media, press, out-of-home (OOH) billboards and digital channels.

Hayo concludes: “There are over 900,000 people across the UK currently living with dementia, with more than 1 million people in the UK expected to be living with this condition by 2025. We are dedicated to ensuring every family that needs one has the specialist support of our Admiral Nurses – they provide life-changing support to families impacted by all forms of dementia.”
