Shopify makes it easier to sell products in social bios
Shopify is pulling out all the stops to boost social sales with the launch of a new tool for creators and influencers that promises to streamline commerce for digital creators and retailers on social media.

Shopify is streamlining social sales with a custom creator and influencer tool
Linkpop is the global commerce platform’s answer to a growing demand from brands and creators to sell their products to audiences directly by furnishing them with the necessary tools and technology.
The tool permits merchants and creatives to seamlessly sell products directly from their link-in-bio page, serving as a branded in-app and social media storefront.
Shimona Mehta, managing director EMEA at Shopify, said: “With more than 50 million creators globally, the creator economy is booming and shows no signs of slowing down. At Shopify, we’re investing in supporting creators to build and own their brands by expanding access to our world-class commerce technology and by building tools that will help merge creativity, community and commerce.”
Linkpop is promoted as a superior checkout experience for buyers by facilitating purchases without the need to navigate off platform. Further benefits include an in-built analytics tool to track consumer behavior, the ability to fully customize pages and the capacity for up to 200 shoppable links.
Amir Kabbara, director of product at Shopify, added: “With Linkpop, we’ve created a surface that unifies all links merchants post across social channels. What’s even better, we’ve made it a shoppable destination so it’s easy to purchase products directly on Linkpop, which is a win-win for merchants and buyers alike.”
Shopify recently teamed up with its audio namesake to boost the e-commerce capabilities of Spotify artists.
