Samsung opens up apprenticeship scheme in the UK

The Samsung UK Apprenticeship Program is a funded course that offers on-the-job training and a qualification in a chosen field.

The tech firm says the scheme will help young adults accelerate their careers, bypassing university.

“We know that not everyone wants or has the means to go to university so we’re looking to offer both an entry point into the industry with invaluable on-the-job experience as well as formal qualifications,“ said Tamas Csejtei, the company’s people team director for the UK, Ireland and Europe Office.

Applicants will be able to apply to the pilot program until March 17, with successful candidates starting their placement in September.

“With many school leavers across the UK keen to start their working lives, we want to provide an alternative way for more young people to find new and exciting career paths through our apprenticeship scheme,“ added Csejtei.
