Priceline shares joy of stretching travel dollars further

Priceline is placing emphasis on the thrill of bagging a bargain holiday as it races to cater for pent-up tourism demand in the peak spring booking season.

The online travel agency is reaching out to sun-starved Americans with a new brand campaign featuring actress Kaley Cuoco, best known for her roles in The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant.

The multichannel campaign drops with multiple 15- and 30-second spots that share Priceline’s mission to become the go-to online marketplace for cost-conscious consumers seeking exotic experiences.

Created by Dentsu One, the campaign sees Cuoco pay a visit to prospective holidaymakers to promote Priceline’s discount break service in person. The star says: “Work bye, vacation hi. Book at Priceline because when you save more, you can ‘no way’ more.”

Priceline chief executive officer Brett Keller said: “After two challenging years, consumers want to travel more than ever before. Our new campaign was created to showcase how Priceline is here to help them save and experience more of the moments that matter to them.”

Spanning broadcast, digital and podcast outlets, the campaign dovetails with an ‘express deals’ offer through to the end of the week to push holidaymakers into converting wishful thinking into concrete plans.

Cuoco previously starred as a genie in a Toyota Super Bowl ad.
