WPP has promoted Rose Herceg to become the president of its business in Australia and New Zealand.
Herceg formerly held the role of chief strategy officer of WPP AUNZ and in her new role, she will head WPP’s business in ANZ, support agency chief executives, promote WPP’s capabilities, and bring together people and resources on behalf of clients.
Before joining WPP she was the founder of an agency called Pophouse, which she sold to STW Group and became a strategic consultant. When WPP merged STW Group into its stable, she became chief strategy officer of WPP AUNZ.
“Rose is among the industry’s most respected leaders and I am delighted she has taken up this important role in one of our largest markets worldwide. We have fantastic agencies and thousands of talented people in Australia, and Rose’s job is to help them thrive so they can do great work for our clients,” said Mark Read, the chief executive officer of WPP.
“Her extensive marketing and agency experience, as well as a collaborative leadership style, will ensure we bring the best of WPP to our clients.”

WPP also announced that Chris Rollinson, previously its chief financial officer at WPP AUNZ, will become the chief operating officer, and Tim Matheson will lead WPP’s technology strategy in ANZ as chief technology officer.
