Close to 51% of Singaporeans are influenced by social media when making purchasing decisions

The platform brings together Mediacorp’s ecosystem of celebrities, digital content creators, talents from partner agencies and independent influencers all under one roof, giving clients more options as they plan their social campaigns from conceptualization to execution.

“In today’s crowded media landscape, social conversations are an effective way to spotlight your marketing messages and brands are increasingly turning to social influencers to humanize and amplify these conversations. However, it’s not always easy for brands to find the right influencers,” said Parminder Singh, chief commercial and digital officer at Mediacorp.

“This is where Mediacorp SocialHub steps in. Mediacorp SocialHub is a single-point solution to help brands connect with relevant influencers who reflect their brands’ attributes and reach the right target audience. Furthermore, it helps them create, execute and track the performance of their influencer campaigns.”

He added: “All this in a simple yet sophisticated interface with ease of use for all users and advanced tools for professional marketers. The influencers on Mediacorp SocialHub include Mediacorp’s popular celebrities and creators, as well as those from other leading creator networks, making it one of the leading influencer marketplaces in the region. We invite all businesses to join Mediacorp SocialHub to discover a new way to connect, create and drive influencer-driven conversations.”

Why did Mediacorp create SocialHub?

  • More than 80% of Singaporeans are on social media, and social media marketing is increasingly becoming a key part of any marketing strategy to increase awareness of one’s brand, product or service.

  • Statistics also show that close to 51% of Singaporeans are influenced by social media when making purchasing decisions.

  • Mediacorp hopes SocialHub will enable marketers to tap on the extensive reach of close to 300 talents comprising artists and content creators from The Celebrity Agency, Bloomr.SG, Fly Entertainment and Starsnest to reach out to their target audiences, and at a budget that suits them.

  • It wants to do this by helping marketers to self-create, order and track their campaigns via a single platform. This begins with clients furnishing SocialHub with key information such as the campaign brief, objectives, target audience and desired reach.

  • Based on these parameters, Mediacorp will engage suitable social influencers to create and post campaign-related content on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

  • Thereafter, clients can track the performance of their campaigns in real-time and make adjustments, if necessary.

  • At any stage of a campaign, they can also call upon a team of social media strategists and analysts who are on hand to provide dedicated end-to-end support, as well as take advantage of the platform’s integrated chatbot system for instant communication.
