Musician-turned-boxer-turned-gaming-YouTuber KSI is making a play for new listeners by engaging with online game platform Roblox to host a launch party for his new album.

The interactive celebration is supported by global music companies BMG, Proper Loud and MBA Live, providing the perfect stage to showcase songs from KSI’s latest LP, All Over The Place.

The unorthodox gathering will see Olajide William ’JJ’ Olatunji, aka KSI, reach out to the gaming community with a live performance on August 14, with encore shows following hourly over the weekend, followed by an after-hours VIP party and fan Q&A.

A London-themed virtual world has been created specifically for the occasion, including a boxing ring, dance floor and virtual vehicles to cruise the city streets in the company of a photo-realistic avatar of the man himself.

With an impressive social media following of 40m, KSI has amassed a sizeable army of fans to populate the surreal setting – the perfect opportunity to celebrate the album nabbing the number one spot in the official UK Albums chart with over 34,000 copies sold in the first week.

KSI remarked: “All Over the Place is a once-in-a-lifetime album that takes you on an adventure that will be remembered for years to come. So we needed to host an equally memorable launch party bringing all aspects of my journey together, from boxing to music to the fans that support me through it all.”

Jon Vlassopulos, vice-president and global head of music for Roblox, added: “I can’t wait to race around London and join the exclusive VIP after-party that will connect KSI with fans from all corners of the globe. This is a great example of how Roblox launch parties bring together millions of fans in personal, engaging, interactive and immersive ways.”

KSI previously partnered with ESPN in support of its Euro 2016 coverage. It comes after Arianna Grande debuted a gig on Fortnite earlier this week.
