Since SBTC Esports’s launch in 2018, the pro team has built one of the most engaging gaming and esports brands

SBTC stands for Song Bang Tinh Cam (Live with Love in English) and the chicken in its logo represents a hard-working animal that gets up early in order to wake up the community.

The team was originally founded by Thay Giao Ba, a former pro player, and SBTC Esports currently fields two professional teams in League of Legends (PC) and Wildrift, where they currently rank top across South East Asia with 12 straight wins in a row.

“Founding and bringing SBTC to where it is today has been an incredible journey and is not without its unique challenges and successes. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the growing Ampverse family and will continue to give our fans the entertainment they demand and deserve,” said Thay.

Why was SBTC Esports acquired?

  • Being acquired will allow SBTC Esports to scale their community of over five million followers and amplify their merchandise line. SBTC also operates the ‘SBTC academy’, providing funding, support and a professional environment for young aspiring gaming talent across Vietnam.

  • Since SBTC Esports’s launch in 2018, the pro team has built one of the most engaging gaming and esports brands in Vietnam.

  • It currently holds the title of the most popular team in the country, according to leading third-party analytics company Esports Charts. SBTC averaged over 80,000 live viewers across the entire League of Legends VCS Spring 2021 season, the highest of any team in Vietnam.

  • Ampverse’s deal with SBTC follows its acquisition of Thailand’s current Arena of Valor Pro League Champions, Bacon Time, in 2020. The team won the Arena of Valor league in April 2021 and secured long-term commercial partnerships with brands including KFC, Foodpanda and Doritos.
