Ad of the Day: Sky Mobile teams up with Lady Leshurr to launch break-up track
Sky Mobile has today unveiled its latest campaign, which aims to help the nation get out of ‘bad relationships’ as lockdown lifts – whether that’s with their significant other, or their mobile network provider.
Sky Mobile’s ad starring Lady Leshurr tells customers: “It’s best to ditch, Text to Switch.”
The ad, ‘Time to 65075’, features a break-up rap written by Lady Leshurr, who also stars in the accompanying music video.
The campaign has been created to highlight the network initiative ‘Text to Switch’, which offers UK consumers the chance to ditch their current mobile network provider and switch to Sky Mobile by simply texting PAC to 65075.
The spot itself is a tongue-in-cheek music video that sees Lady Leshurr parodying iconic relationship tracks, such as Nelly and Kelly’s Dilemma and Beyoncé’s Single Ladies, as she tells the viewer: “It’s best to ditch, Text to Switch.”
The video was launched alongside research that reveals it is going to be the summer of break-ups, with one in four couples set to ditch their partner as Brits up and down the country truly embrace the summer of post-restriction freedom.
The campaign was devised by Red Consultancy, and the final track was produced by multi-award-winning music producers FaNaTiX.
