After a year like no other for business-to-business (B2B) marketers, a lot has changed. Major B2B relationships and deals are now being struck remotely without so much as a real-world handshake. The digitalization of B2B, from advertising to customer experience, has accelerated with no slow-down in sight. A closer partnership between sales, which traditionally has held the upper hand, and marketing has emerged. And marketers are waking up to needs of the humans inside the business as the distinctions between B2B and B2C marketing blur.

B2B World Fest 2021 will cover all these issues and trends across the global B2B marketplace, following the success of the inaugural event last year.

Cameron Clarke, editor of The Drum, said: “B2B has reached new heights. It is a sector of intense and growing interest, marked by the dynamism and innovation of its businesses. That’s why we launched the global B2B World Fest last November together with Stein IAS. And you know what? The community showed up. We had more than 2,000 marketers tune into the insights, pick up on the latest trends and be inspired.

“This year we aspire to create an even stronger event. There is so much positive change happening in B2B and we want B2B World Fest to be the preeminent event where leaders tackle the big topics in the space.”

The Drum has assembled a steering group of some of the leading B2B experts from around the world to help refine the festival content and session themes. Industry heavy-hitters confirmed for the steering group include: Ana Villegas, CMO, NI; Carla Piñeyro Sublett, SVP, chief marketing officer, IBM; David Carrel, VP, global digital experience marketing, Adobe; Doug Frisbie, VP, global business marketing, Snap Inc.; Iris Meijer, CMO, Vodafone Group; Jason Angrisani, global chief marketing officer, Bloomberg L.P.; Jill Kramer, chief marketing and communications officer, Accenture; Khensani Nobanda, group executive: marketing and corporate affairs, Nedbank; Lynn Teo, VP, global marketing & customer experience, Wolters Kluwer; Matt Preschern, CMO, NTT; Mette Munk, head of group branding, design and digital communications, Danfoss A/S; Rachael Henke, senior director, global brand & B2B campaigns, Dell Technologies; Stacy Greiner, CMO, Dum & Bradstreet; and Tricia Weener, chief marketing officer, EVP marketing & communications, KONE Corporation.

Tom Stein, Stein IAS’ chairman and chief client officer said: “While it’s been a hugely challenging time for B2B marketers since last year’s event, they have responded magnificently. From strategy to creativity to sustainability to diversity, B2B is leading the way in so many areas.

“At this second annual B2B World Fest, we will hear from global leaders in B2B – the agenda setters, growth drivers and catalyzers who are putting humanity at the heart of business marketing to leap forward. Though there are plenty of pivots sure to come, it’s time to put progress at the top of the B2B agenda. If B2B is part of your DNA, World Fest 2021 is the event for you.”
