Following the success of last night's Chip Shop Awards, The Drum's first hybrid online and in-person event in over a year, here's your cordial reminder for tonight's Drum Marketing Awards.
The award show will reward the brands and marketing teams that really understand their consumers, who focus on outcomes instead of outputs.
This year, The Drum Marketing Awards is held in partnership with The Financial Times.
Nishma Robb, director of brand and reputation marketing at Google UK, was appointed as the chair of this year’s judging panel, which was made up of senior marketers hailing from companies including Peloton, Made.com, Duolingo, Unicef USA, General Mills, TikTok and more.
Looking back at the impact of the last year, Robb says: "The marketing industry has demonstrated incredible resilience. The pandemic amplified challenges we were already facing, but we didn’t become hyper-critical or defeatist. Rather we found optimism and growth through solidarity. I’ve seen real progress, which is remarkable when we’re all feeling stuck.
"It brought out the best in our industry, and forced issues to the front that were previously easy to sidestep and ignore. The ways that we have engaged, entertained, communicated, adapted – marketing has been pivotal to the crisis and many will be able to look back on their contributions with pride."
It's not too late to join us online; sign up for your free ticket here to attend the virtual ceremony. The show starts from 4pm.
