The Drum's iconic and rule-breaking award show, The Chip Shop Awards, returns tomorrow afternoon at our newly-launched space The Drum Labs and with it, its legendary Best Shop Window Postcards category.

For the past month, the storefront windows at The Drum Labs have been transformed to look like a newsagent's window featuring a number of notices.

However, on closer inspection, passers by can discern that these are actually previous entries to the Best Shop Window Postcards category, where applicants can use only a piece of A6 card, a bit of Blu-Tack and their imagination to create something witty and engaging that embodies a small ad.

Armed with just those tools, participants who enter this category must create something that passes for an ad but could also be classified as a piece of art.

A number of entrants aim to disguise their notice as an actual ad that is jokingly attributed to a brand, whereas other entries are written as if they were submitted by someone requiring a local service.

The winner of this catgeory will be revealed at tomorrow's award show (register here to attend virtually) but we wanted to showcase some of the most outrageous - and our favourite - contenders below for you to consider.
