Global travel marketplace Skyscanner today announced the appointment of Clive Peoples, former customer marketing leader at eBay and Expedia, as senior vice-president of marketing. Peoples is tasked with leading Skyscanner’s global marketing strategy, driving customer acquisition and retention efforts across the marketing organization, and bringing together both performance and brand marketing channels.
Osama Bhutta will be joining Shelter as the charity’s new director of campaigns, policy and communications. Bhutta has previously worked as global director of marketing and communications at Amnesty International where he oversaw brand, media, creative and digital work. He worked on human rights campaigns around the world and helped the organization achieve its growth targets. Prior to this he worked to transform Al Jazeera Media Network into a competitive broadcaster.
McCann Health New York has announced the promotion of Matt Silver, general manager of McCann Health New York, to the role of president. His promotion is announced during a period of tremendous growth and industry recognition for the agency, domestically and on the global stage.
Publicis Groupe has announced several leadership appointments within Publicis Media and its agency brands, all designed to further accelerate the strength and momentum of the US business. Michael Epstein joins Publicis Media leadership as chief exec of Starcom US and Sarah Kramer has been named chief executive officer of Spark Foundry. Meanwhile, Chris Boothe has been appointed chief operations officer of Publicis Media, US, and finally Danielle Gonzales has been promoted to chief client officer, Publicis Media.
Global socially-led creative agency We Are Social has promoted Emma Cumming to the newly-created role of global culture director, with a focus on creating a purposeful culture and seamless people experience across the agency’s global network. In addition to her focus on developing and growing the agency’s culture globally, Cumming will now have a broader people and culture remit and will work with P&C leadership to build a cohesive network across all 15 international offices.
Edelman has named Christoph Becker as its first-ever global chair of integration. Becker, a veteran who has been in the advertising and marketing industry for over 35 years, will help drive integration across the network’s full array of offerings including creative, data and intelligence (DxI), and digital and strategic planning to enhance how clients already benefit from Edelman’s capabilities.
Ogilvy PR has appointed Matt Buchanan as its new global head of consumer PR. In this new role for the agency, Buchanan will report to Ogilvy PR’s global chief executive officer Julianna Richter and will lead consumer brand communications globally – evolving the go-to-market strategy, driving innovation, enhancing capability and overseeing multi-market consumer brand business.
Havas Market, Havas Media Group’s e-commerce practice, is announcing the appointment of Jessica Chapplow to the newly-created role of head of e-commerce. Chapplow joins from KR MediaCom, where she was previously head of digital transformation.
Following a period of significant growth, M&C Saatchi has boosted its creative leadership with the promotion of Tom Kennedy to a newly-created creative director position. Kennedy is stepping up to creative director from his current role as senior art director.
PinkNews, the world’s number one media brand for the global LGBT+ community, has appointed Vino Vethavanam (she/her) as its new director of content. Vethavanam will lead the PinkNews production, video, web and wider content strategy, alongside joining the executive team to support the brand’s mission to inform, inspire, change and empower people to be themselves.
