Running from June 14-18, the Creative Transformation Festival is a virtual event that’s almost entirely free to attend, with two exclusive sessions for members of The Drum Plus. With five days of content divided into four big themes, creatives, marketers and agency leaders can watch sessions on creative trends, process and production, media and tech, and ideas and inspiration.
Supporting this international event are speakers from agencies big and small, hailing from Peru, Thailand, Singapore, New York and more, and senior figures from a wide range of brands – from Mondelēz International to Absolut Vodka, Dickies to SK-II.
Frank conversations with creative leaders
Despite working amid a pandemic for well over a year, creative agencies are continuing to make great work that will surely leave a lasting cultural impact. To make sense of the journey and glean some useful lessons, The Drum will have in-depth conversations with creative leaders from agencies in Tokyo, LA and London.
Join any of the three sessions to uncover some pandemic-era wisdom:
The first will feature Yasu Sasaki, head of digital and executive creative director at Dentsu Tokyo, an inventor in the field of next-generation communications through writing, digital design and coding. This session is exclusively for members of The Drum Plus.
The second is a conversation with Matt Murphy, co-chief creative officer and partner at 72andSunny, whose passion for partnership has produced unlikely collaborations, like rallying millions of girls to code holiday trees on the White House’s lawn and promoting a fake athlete to be a company’s ‘MFCEO’. This session is exclusively for members of The Drum Plus.
Completing the series are Nadja Lossgott and Nick Hulley, executive creative directors at AMV BBDO – the minds behind the influential Guinness Sapeurs film, known for creating visually-striking, groundbreaking work with serious cultural impact.

Anamika Gupta is head of customer marketing at Fujitsu America Inc, a leader in B2B who helps organizations drive revenue by strategically delivering value to clients. She was recently recognized as an honoree in the 2020 Dallas Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards program and The Most Admired Women Leaders 2021 by CioLook.
Senior global brand director Yoegin Chan and senior brand communications director Shuqi Fu represent the P&G-owned SK-II. One of Asia’s biggest beauty brands, known for running cinematic and strategic campaigns, it has recently launched a new film studio and run a major Olympics sponsorship campaign.
Shavonne M Clark, senior manager of marketing at The Home Depot, currently leads the planning, development and implementation of all Rental marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities. She’ll be uncovering how this household name brand is building consumer love with the help of data.

To help creatives harness all that data and tech at their fingertips, The Drum has brought together speakers from companies that streamline the creative process. After all, crafting a successful campaign is easier with the support of the right tools and channels – for teamwork, social, video campaigns and more.
In a session that examines the ways the pandemic has transformed collaboration, Andy Wilson, director of media at Dropbox, will be speaking to brand and agency partners. They will explore the pros and cons of remote working, and the aspects that are here to stay, and uncover new tools for working together.
Videos are everywhere, but they don’t always land with the customer. To help agencies craft effective and meaningful video campaigns, Unruly’s vice-president of insights and solutions Rebecca Waring will be sharing ways to test video content, identify the most engaging scenes, and use data craft messaging that achieves campaign goals.
To utilize platforms like Facebook Shops, Instagram Shoppable Posts and TikTok Social Shopping Tools, learn from the experts. Liz Stone, co-founder of social media specialists OK Cool, and Elise Ngobi, director of international growth at leading visual marketing platform Dash Hudson, will discuss ways brands can creatively harness the power of social to drive sales.
