John Lewis has hired eBay’s Rosie Hanley as head of brand and marketing, the latest recruit to fill a gap left by a series of exits from its marketing team. Hanley has been with eBay for seven years, most recently serving as its head of brand marketing where she has led campaigns such as its ’More Ways to Win’ work from McCann, as well as a content partnership with News UK. Prior to eBay she was at Tesco data division Dunnhumby as product manager.

Agencies

Ogilvy has appointed Fiona Gordon, previously chief client officer EMEA, as the network’s UK chief executive. Prior to her recent appointment, Gordon spent four years as WPP’s UK lead on the integrated Walgreens Boots Alliance account, delivering what WPP described as Boots’s highest brand reputation scores in 10 years.

Ogilvy has also announced that Kaleeta McDade has been named global executive creative director for Ogilvy Experience. McDade will be responsible for defining, shaping and driving the creative vision and strategy across Ogilvy Experience’s offerings.

Forsman & Bodenfors announced today that it has hired McCann Worldgroup’s chief growth officer Toby Southgate as global chief executive officer to work in partnership with global executive chairman and copywriter Anna Qvennerstedt to lead the world-class creative collective.

Dentsu International has announced two new senior leadership appointments across its global media agency portfolio. Fiona Lloyd has been promoted to the role of global client and brand president at Carat, and Sanjay Nazerali steps up as the new global client and brand president, Dentsu X.

Wavemaker has appointed Andrew Spurrier-Dawes to the role of head of precision, EMEA. Based within Wavemaker’s Consulting Hub in London, Spurrier-Dawes will be tasked with developing and delivering Wavemaker’s unique provocative planning offer with an EMEA focus on client digital transformation, activation excellence and precision product development.

AKQA has welcomed Louisa McCauley as client partner in the San Francisco studio reporting to director of client services Kristin Goto. McCauley is a global marketing professional with over 22 years of experience leading marketing initiatives for major brands in North America and Europe.

The Ozone Project, the UK-based high attention advertising platform, has appointed Martin Harriman as its first-ever chair. In a move that will further boost the strategic direction and commercial success of the cross-publisher venture, Martin brings to Ozone extensive experience in chairing high-growth, early-stage businesses.

72andSunny Amsterdam has appointed Ben Armistead as executive strategy director. Armistead’s arrival comes shortly after the recent elevation of Laura Visco to the leadership team and reinforces the agency’s commitment to putting creativity first and delivering creative excellence and effectiveness.
