Finger lickin' is back: KFC celebrates its fans as indoor dining resumes
The latest TV creative from KFC is an ode to the fried chicken chain that features a cross-section of fans showcasing their love for the secret recipe.

KFC’s latest campaign is ‘Your Chicken Could Never’ by Mother London
Debuting at ITV’s Brit Awards, the spot references everything from the 999 calls that were made when KFC ran out of chicken, to people showing off their homemade KFC merch.
Set to the Barry White Classic, You’re The First, The Last, My Everything, some edits of the ad will also see the return of the brand’s beloved tagline ‘It’s Finger Lickin’ Good’ – one year after it was temporarily dropped from advertising in the UK.
The hiatus of the classic strapline saw KFC take inspiration from other classic slogans after Advertising Standard’s Authority (ASA) received 163 complaints for ‘finger lickin’s’ violation of Covid guidelines. But with restaurants across the UK set to reopen for indoor seating next week, ‘Your Chicken Could Never’ by Mother London not only marks the reinstating of the classic slogan, but heralds something of a return to normality.
As Jack Hinchliffe, marketing director at KFC UK & Ireland, comments: “We wanted this campaign to celebrate each and every one of our fans. They have been unwavering and constantly show us their dedication in wonderful ways. We really do love you too x.”
