Account wins

72andSunny Singapore​ has been appointed as one of Oppo’s global brand agency partners, following a competitive pitch with multiple agencies across Europe and Asia.

Water brand Highland Spring has appointed John Doe Group to deliver a refreshing earned strategy. John Doe will also work with the brand to continue to amplify its environmental initiatives, including new packaging innovation and its ongoing focus on contributing to a circular plastics economy in the UK.

Leo Burnett India has won the creative mandate for Macho, a homegrown brand that’s leading the market for men’s innerwear. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by the agency’s New Delhi office. Leo Burnett will craft the complete communications strategy for the brand.

UM has announced its appointment as the media agency of record for Philipines-based food company CDO Foodsphere. The appointment follows a competitive pitch that concluded earlier this year.

FirstVet, the world’s first digital veterinary clinic, has appointed Elvis to develop a number of campaigns in order to build brand awareness in the UK. The agency was appointed without a pitch and there was no incumbent.

Haygarth has been announced as the lead creative agency to launch Ueshima Coffee Company into the UK market, working in partnership with DDB’s creative production agency Gutenberg Global.

Ongoing pitches

Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays have launched a creative review after parting ways with Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. They have issued an RFI for a creative agency and are working with Creativebrief on the process. A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “As we continue to evolve the Virgin Atlantic brand and work towards our vision of becoming the most-loved travel company, we have issued a joint RFI for a creative agency.“

Acquisitions

MSQ has subsumed MBA within its customer acquisition and engagement business, Stack, after acquiring the digital agency for an undisclosed sum. The combined agency will be known as MBAstack and employ 50 specialists focusing on data insight, smart technology and creativity as tools to leverage the commercial interests of clients.

Digital marketing group Incubeta has acquired e-commerce experts Groundswell. The Belfast-based company hopes to expand Incubeta’s reach to e-commerce clients worldwide.
