Reflect Digital celebrates its 10th birthday with launch of a new brand identity and website

Reflect Digital, part of the Lab Group of agencies, is celebrating its 10th birthday with the launch of a new brand identity and website following a year of sustained growth.

Since 2011 the search agency has worked with a number of clients, ranging from the law firm Whitehead Monckton to companies including Opayo, Brakes and Egress Software Technologies. It has grown from one employee to a team of 33 and undergone many periods of change, notably the implementation of the four-day workweek in 2018 and later becoming part of the Lab Group in 2019.

The rebrand is the latest change to take place at the agency. It features a sharper, more mature colour palette and updated branding that includes a new logomark that is eye-catching, memorable and allows for more creative range.

The landmark birthday comes as Reflect Digital reports that revenue is 30% up on this time last year, despite Covid-19.

Chief executive officer Becky Simms said: “Turning 10 is a huge achievement for Reflect Digital and for me personally. Looking back to the study I had set up in my flat 10 years ago with a loose plan on building an agency, it is amazing to see how far we’ve come. The amazing team that we have today and those team members and partners that have supported us over the years – every single one has played a part in making us the agency we are today.”

Simms continued: “I am so proud of every single team member that is part of Reflect Digital – they all make us who we are today and the quality of work we are delivering for our clients is fantastic to see. It is a testament to our philosophies around looking after the clients that we still have with us today the first-ever client that trusted me back in 2011 that I could build them a website and digital strategy.”

She said that there have been a number of challenging times in reaching the 10-year mark and that the last 12 months were significant, having to navigate a global pandemic.

“But there have been others,” Simms said. “Running a business is not something you can learn from a textbook – the rollercoaster of highs and lows is a daily education. We’re so grateful to the advisors and supporters we have had over the years, from my parents trusting and investing in us for the first eight years and most recently the Lab Group welcoming us into their family.

“There is so much I am proud of at this 10-year milestone, but most of all it has to be the team we have today and the approach we have spent years building that truly delivers meaningful impact for our clients. To celebrate our birthday, the team were all sent birthday gift boxes and we had a customary Zoom call, which we’ve all become so used to. It is definitely not what we had planned, but we look forward to being able to pick up those plans when it is safe to do so.”

The agency has taken its 10th birthday as a great opportunity to refresh its brand and website, to start its second decade with clarity on who the agency is and where it is going.

“We wanted an evolution of the brand that was clearly identifiable as Reflect Digital, but was a fresh approach to telling our story,” said Simms. “We have also refocused our services to really reflect (pardon the pun) who we are – we are a search agency supercharged by human behaviour insights, creativity and tech.

“This has been a labour of love across the team over the last nine months in defining the Reflect Digital for the future and we can’t wait to share it with the world. The future is so exciting for Reflect Digital and the Lab Group. We’re continuing to shape our processes with human behaviour at our core, we’re really excited to see that our advances are aligning with the direction Google is moving in with its 2021 updates. At the end of the day, all marketing activity is to attract humans, so for us, we want to ensure we always have the human interaction as our priority.”
