Openpay launches in US as Opy with the help of We Are Star

Following its impressive growth in Australia and the UK, buy now pay later (BNPL) company Openpay has launched its service in the US, the world‘s largest consumer retail market.

To facilitate the launch, Openpay appointed digital agency We Are Star to oversee the digital development and implement its refreshed identity.

Openpay is an ASX-listed, fast-growing and highly differentiated player in global BNPL payment solutions. It delivers the most flexible plans in the market, targeting a more finance-savvy demographic who use buy now pay later as a cash flow management tool.

The appointment of We Are Star is another impressive tick in the box for the digital agency, which only emerged on the scene 18 months ago. Alongside Openpay, recent wins have included high profile clients in the real estate and finance space.

Under the new identity of Opy, the fintech provider has positioned itself as a genuinely disruptive force in payments, offering fairer deals for both customers and merchants. Alongside its established and differentiated buy now pay later solution – now called OpyPay – the business also aims to offer a range of payment solutions and has also launched a SaaS-based business account management platform, known as OpyPro.
