Finn names Tim Orrell director

January 22, 2021 | 2 min read

Tim Orrell has joined FMCG specialist Finn as a director, with a remit to grow a retail and shopper practice for the Leeds-based communications agency. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, latterly at FPP and before that Golley Slater, Orrell brings extensive expertise in the FMCG communications sector.

Orrell joins a refreshed board at Finn after the appointment of Elie Adamson as managing director and Chris Weston as creative director. Finance manager Bridget Darke has been promoted to finance director.

The agency has sharpened its focus on the FMCG sector and Orrell will bring his expertise to clients including Essity, John West, Gosh, Wessanen, GHD and Boost Drinks to name a few.

Richard Rawlins, founder and chief executive officer of Finn, commented: “Signing Tim brings serious strength to our bench. Our strategy is to provide FMCG clients access to the best talent to help them to grow their brands. Tim offers clients a whole new perspective on the future of grocery retail, an area that is definitely keeping many FMCG CMOs awake at night.”

Orrell added: “I’m so excited by the opportunity at Finn. Rich and the team have an exciting vision of the future of FMCG communications. The time has come to rip up the rule book and reinvent the FMCG model. Clients need a new type of agency to help them with their communications strategies, and Finn is just that – an FMCG specialist that brings a diverse skill set to a problem, unified by a belief in a progressive approach. The agency is buzzing with amazing talent and most importantly good people with great values.”
