Out with the old, in with the new. January offers marketers a clean slate as we all look to move past the unexpected disruption of 2020 and make fresh plans for the year ahead.
To help identify new challenges and start finding solutions, The Drum is proud to present Predictions 2021, the latest in our annual series, running from 25 to 29 January.
The agenda features a range of refreshingly short, insightful interviews. Hosted with The Drum’s signature frankness, it will take audiences to the very heart of the issues, without making them stare at a screen all morning. It will also showcase presentations from experts on this year’s hottest topics, including navigating cancel culture, advertising to gamers, purposeful marketing and customer retention.
The Drum’s Prediction events have typically been one-day, in-person events. This year we take advantage of the all-digital format, presenting a curated selection of easy-to-digest content. Most sessions clock in at 15 minutes or less, each packed with fresh ideas and practical tips, and finishing with a list of actionable insights.
Lynn Lester, The Drum’s managing director of events, explains that the new format is designed to cut through the noise of so many virtual events. “Right now the world is unpredictable and we know that our audience is craving insight into what the future holds. But who has the time to spend watching panel after panel?
“That is why Predictions 2021 has been crafted in a variety of engaging formats, all easily digestible. Not only will you hear from experts about their fields, but you’ll walk away with tangible insights and actions that you can put into practice right away.”
This year’s topics include ways to master social media and avoid the worst pitfalls; the key to delivering exceptional customer experience; how to hold on to your business by maximising customer retention; bold strategies for managing data that work for you and your customer, plus much more.
