Acclaimed designer Wayne Hemmingway; Arianna Huffington; founder of The Black Farmer, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones; Mediacom‘s chief transformation officer Sue Unerman; VJ Anand, executive creative director of VaynerMedia; and many more are to be interviewed as part of a week-long content festival to celebrate the value of agencies to the success of businesses all around the world.

The agency sector – lately maligned – remains the core of the advertising industry worldwide. To celebrate the role that agencies play, The Drum is to run a week of content as the Agencies4Growth festival.

The festival, which runs from 19 to 23 October, aims to raise the profile of the sector and show why agencies are still important to businesses, while also offering insights for agency leaders to help them on the road to success.

Agencies4Growth is produced with the support of Results International, PubMatic, Clicktech Solutions, and Deazy.

Through five days of expert interviews and panel discussions on the most pressing challenges facing agencies today, Agencies4Growth will provide practical insights and strategic ideas along four main themes: management, clients, talent and technology.

Instead of dwelling on the problems during a challenging time for agencies, this series of frank and lively discussions will provide marketers with novel solutions and future-proof strategies for tomorrow.

Featuring both independents and larger international agencies, this event should inspire all kinds of agency leaders and support them in their journey of growth.

Stephen Lepitak, executive editor of The Drum, said: “There’s no denying that agencies all around the world face numerous difficulties following this year’s events be it revenue generation, staff wellbeing and management, creative development and coping with new ways of working.

“It’s unlikely this industry has ever faced such a period of upheaval and The Drum aims to support the sector in the best way possible – providing insights and knowledge from peers that might offer some ways forward for the future. Agencies are the lifeblood of the advertising industry – now more than ever is the time to shout about how important they are and the work they do for clients.”

The festival also represents a chance to celebrate the most successful work of the last year. Agencies4Growth will incorporate two virtual award ceremonies, showcasing the results of The Drum Awards for Agency Business and The Drum Recommends Digital Awards.

The Drum Awards is an international programme recognising the best people, companies and work from the across the marketing industry.

The festival is free to attend, and participants can sign up here.
