With lockdown rules set to loosen up soon, Extinction Rebellion has unveiled #NoGoingBack - the first in a series of short films created to remind the general public to keep the environment top of mind when normal service resumes.

As the pandemic continues across the globe, leaving a devastating death toll and decimated businesses in its wake, one flickering light at the end of the tunnel is that it has given the earth some well needed fresh air. However, despite the world in lockdown, the activist group has claimed that global carbon emissions have only fallen by 65% of what’s needed each year.

Extinction Rebellion feels the emergency has proven that society can mobilise itself, and is, therefore, taking the opportunity to urge people to continue being a 'hero' by lending their voice to the climate emergency post-coronavirus.

The first film of the series #NoGoingBack centers around the experience shared by the vast majority of humanity in these past few months, looking back, looking around us and looking to the future, and considering our shared 'Love and Rage in Times of Corona'.

As part of the campaign, Extinction Rebellion Global Support has launched a Covid-19 crowdfund, where proceeds will allow Global Support to distribute emergency grant funding to Extinction Rebellion groups around the world as they provide either immediate relief work or do necessary regrouping in light of the new normal.
