Public service broadcaster Channel 4 is hammering home a government requirement for everyone, bar essential workers, to remain indoors by pasting a prominent ‘stay at home’ digital on-screen graphic across its suite of channels.

The prominent public health message will be visible alongside the station logo during all programming broadcast throughout the coronavirus crisis, including E4, M4 and 4Seven.

Alex Mahon, chief exec at Channel 4 said: “During this unprecedented national crisis we want to use our reach with mass audiences, particularly with young and hard to reach viewers, to spread this vital public health message and remind everyone to follow the latest advice and stay at home.”

The visual reinforcement will be carried for the duration of restrictions on movement.

Earlier this year Channel 4's 'Superhumans' was named The Drum editorial team's campaign of the decade.
