Southpaw makes business director promotion

Strategic creative agency, Southpaw, has promoted Claire Lambell to its business director position.

Lambell, who joined the creative agency as an account manager in 2009 swiftly became part of Southpaw's leadership team. She was tasked with building long term relationships for all clients and delivering high impact emotive creative through the agency’s neuro and behavioural science strategic capabilities.

Having worked on key accounts for Southpaw including Honda, Suzuki, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, Brown-Forman and PZ Cussons, she will bring a wealth of marketing knowledge from multi-channel to content to digital and CRM into the new role.

Lambell, has also recently led the successful global pitch for the Brown-Forman Scotch portfolio, and will be tasked with expanding the Brown-Forman relationship globally as well as continuing to lead on Honda's business within Europe.

Southpaw is proud of the female / male ratio of talent in the agency, with 58 % female employees. It offers flexible working and is particularly supportive of mothers returning to the agency after having children or have joined the agency after having children.

Tom Poynter, chief executive officer at Southpaw, said: “I have worked with Claire for over seven years and in that time, she has really grown as a hugely important talent within the agency. She has recognised the role of client service has had to evolve to ensure longevity in client relationships and she has been instrumental in changing how we engage with our clients.

"She has also started to take a pivotal role on new business pitches and has done very well in 2019 / Q1 2020 in winning a number of big wins for the agency."

People within the agency really look up to her and I am delighted she has joined the senior leadership team.”
