Digital agency LAB's group human technologist, Daryll Scott, has been named as the co-chair of BIMA’s new Human Insights council.

BIMA, the UK’s largest digital and tech community, announced the appointment along with the launch of other new councils, missions and chairs, as part of its efforts to continue to drive innovation and excellence across the industry. Other new BIMA councils include Sustainability, Growth and Programmatic.

The Human Insights council will harness the understanding of people that sit at the heart of digital technology and help to bring human insights to life.

Scott will lead the council alongside co-chair, Dimitris Pinotsis, who is also the associate professor and senior lecturer at the University of London-City and research affiliate at MIT pinotsislab.com.

Scott joined LAB in 2015 to sit on its leadership board. He plays a key role in developing the agency’s blend of consumer neuroscience, psychology and behavioural economics. As an experienced agency owner, leadership consultant, author, executive coach, neurolinguistic programmer and neuromarketer, Scott has a passion for what makes people tick. He has previously worked with brands including Apple, Deloitte, Pret-a-Manger, Tesco Mobile and Virgin Atlantic.

Commenting on his role on the new council, Scott says: “So much of what we do in digital and tech is fuelled by human understanding, and only by understanding more can we design better systems and create better products.

"I’m delighted to be co-chairing this council, and I’m looking forward to helping to ensure that human insight remains central to everything we do as an industry.”
