Las Vegas debuts ‘What Happens Here, Only happens Here’ slogan
‘What Happens Here. Only happens Here’ is supported with a 60-second video which launched during the Grammy Awards and showcases some of the best performers the city has to offer, from Shania Twain and Christina Aguilera to Aerosmith.
Supported by the #OnlyVegas Twitter handle, the promotion highlights the type of performances that have made the city’s resorts internationally famous.
Steve Hill, chief executive and president of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), said: "Las Vegas utilized an impressive array of global superstars to deliver the message that what happens in Las Vegas only happens here. Millions of visitors travel to the destination annually as it's the only place that delivers so many unique entertainment, culinary and nightlife experiences in one location."
While the launch went ahead as planned, the LVCVA opted to suspend related activities such as marquee takeovers and Instagram photo opportunities as a mark of respect to the late Kobe Bryant.
