Funko expands EMEA marketing team in response to brand growth
Collectables brand Funko has responded to rapid growth with a significant expansion of its marketing team through the appointment of a new PR manager, marketing manager and brand marketing manager.

As PR lead Angela Lee has been recruited from Premier, a role which entailed devising publicity strategies for the likes of Universal, Paramount and Sony, experience which will stand her in good stead for helming Funko’s own brand strategy, publicity and influencer engagement.
Lee is joined by Chris Barnett who arrives as marketing manager from Entertainment One, where he managed UK retail marketing for pre-school brands including Peppa Pig. Now at Funko, Barnett will be tasked with overseeing marketing in initiatives with British retailers.
Finally, Liz Simpson has been welcomed as brand marketing manager from Unilever where she led key initiatives for global FMCG brands. Newly ensconced within Funko, Simpson will assume responsibility for the companies sub-brands and planned product categories.

The trio of hires will be based in London, where they will oversee the implementation of marketing and PR initiatives in support of its European product catalogue.
