With Australia in crisis as bush fires sweep across the country taking lives and homes, creative community One Minute Briefs (OMB) teamed with The Drum to help drive donations to the Red Cross effort.

One Minute Briefs ad for donations to Red Cross Australia

With 4.9m hectares having burned in New South Wales alone so far, this record bush fire season has also seen smoke resonating from the fires causing a danger to lives, the country is in crisis with donations for aid being called for on a number of fronts, not least for the country's Red Cross effort.

As a result, OMB called on its creative community to devise adverts that would promote and call on donations to be made through the local Red Cross website.

Nick Entwhistle, founder of OMB, commented: "Our first One Minute Brief of 2020 was a really special one.

"The Ombles created lots of mass-reaching, powerful content that drew attention to the awful scenes we have seen in Australia. And, more importantly, we have seen people donating and making a difference as a result of the posters and links we have shared. Working with The Drum has been a pleasure as always. Together, we can amplify campaigns even further and inspire change. We look forward to many more collaborations in 2020 and wish our mates in Oz all the best during this difficult time," he added.

Below are some of The Drum's favourite responses through the initiative.

Donations to help Australia's Red Cross can be made through its website.
