The agency poached Rossi from AMV BBDO London in December 2018 in the newly created creative chairman role. However, a spokesperson said that they have since "parted ways."

Javier Campopiano, chief creative officer of Grey Europe, will act as interim creative leader while a replacement is found.

Rossi began his career as an art director at Saatchi&Saatchi in 1994, went on to become a creative director at BBH for over a decade and joined Glue Isobar, the digital agency in 2010. He then spent seven years at AMV BBDO.

When he was hired, John Patroulis, worldwide chief creative officer of Grey, said he is making "some of the most awarded and inspiring work in the world right now".

He is the latest senior leader to leave the agency. Earlier this year, Vicki Maguire, its executive creative director, departed for Havas after a decade at the agency. Matt Tanter, chief strategy officer, also moved over to Mother in June while its joint head of account leadership, Jessica Tamsedge, moved to become managing director of McCann London.

Grey London counts HSBC, Braun, Gillette and Herbal Essences among its clients.
