The tie-up will support WiF in its work to expand its reach nationwide and further develop the skills of women in football by hosting a series of workshops and seminars to share expertise, culminating in its first career Development Conference next year.
WiF chair Ebru Koksal said: “This commitment presents us with a fantastic opportunity to push forward with great momentum, offering opportunities, training and support for girls and women in and around the football industry.”
Tom Corbett, head of group sponsorship at Barclays, said: “Women in Football have come a long way since it was established over ten years ago. They are now growing rapidly and playing an increasingly important role in football and it is right that we increase our involvement to reflect this.”
Barclays has emerged as a key supporter of the sport as a sponsor for both the FA Women’s Super League and FA Girls’ Football School.
