To maintain continuity the media company has appointed Angela Tangas as CEO and Jerome Whelan as CFO with immediate effect, a rapid turnaround designed to provide stability to the business, clients and its partners.

Ashish Bhasin, chief executive APAC commented: “Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) are important markets and have a critical role in our global business strategy. In 2019 our business in Australia continued to be impacted by the local market and business challenges and I would like to thank Henry and Reg for their support during a difficult period.

“To help the market return to growth, the ANZ Leadership team have created a blueprint to enable much-needed transformation, one which will leave the business with stronger foundations and a more competitive local business model.”

Dentsu Aegis Network also reaffirmed its commitment to its regional markets, viewing them as a key growth driver through 2020.

The business has recently undergone a significant restructuring across Asia Pacific, including the closure of Amplifi, its Australian media innovation and investment division.
