Perrigo rewards Wavemaker £100m Europe and Australia media account

Wavemaker has won pharmaceutical company Perrigo's $100m media account for Europe and Australia.

Previously held by Publicis, WPP-owned Wavemaker took the business after a competitive pitch involving the main holding groups.

Geert Cools, Perrigo’s chief business officer for branded consumer self-care, said: “The Perrigo team is fully committed to delivering quality, affordable, self-care products that consumers and customers trust. Our European go-to-market strategy of driving ‘local jewel’ brands in multiple geographies provides a tailored self-care approach that meets the evolving needs of consumers.

The media account covers all markets across Europe where Perrigo does business, plus Australia.

Wavemaker's recently installed global chief executive Toby Jenner said: “Perrigo is an exciting company whose vision to become a leading self-care company is supported by recent changes in the consumer care category – a category Wavemaker has great experience in. We look forward to connecting more consumers to Perrigo’s high-quality products.”

Wavemaker has a few wins to its name in recent months, including the global Axa media account, Huawei across multiple markets including China, Pernod Ricard in China, Eurostar in Europe and the retention of Chevron in North America and Asia Pacific.
