Papa John’s CMO Karlin Linhardt departs after a mere 8 months
Linhardt will see out a transition period before her successor joins the fray having been brought on board to help move the business on from a series of scandals engulfing its disgraced founder John Schnatter.
Commenting on the company’s current performance, chief executive officer Rob Lynch said: “We’re finally starting to turn a corner on some of the challenges that we’ve faced over the last couple of years, but I absolutely wouldn’t say that we’re out of the woods.”
As part of the latest leadership refresh, chief operating and growth officer Mike Nettles will also depart with chief financial officer Joe Smith set to exit next year.
Away from the revolving head office door Papa John’s has posted its first rise in same-store sales across North America in two years, with a modest 1% rise, vindicating a $40m marketing splurge.
