It is understood Howe, who joined the business when it acquired Gyro two years ago, will join the board of MSQ Partners. She was aslo chair of the agency as well as director of B2B International but Dentsu Aegis confirmed that it has no immediate plans to replace her.

At MSQ, Howe will take on the role of group executive director. She will work with chief executive Peter Reid at board level with a focus on new business and growth.

Euan Jarvie, chief executive officer, Dentsu Aegis Network UK and Ireland said: “Kate is an authentic and inspiring leader and has been a key member of my leadership team this year. While we are sad to see Kate leave, she leaves us with a strong management team in place to continue to grow our brands and our people. On behalf of everyone at Dentsu Aegis, I would like to thank her and wish her the very best for her next move.”

Peter Reid, chief executive of MSQ said, “Kate’s arrival is a critical piece in the MSQ jigsaw. We are developing quickly and having Kate on board will help drive our ambitious plans forward even more rapidly. She’s a highly collaborative and inspirational leader who brings vast experience in helping agencies and networks grow. I couldn’t be more delighted.”

Howe added: “MSQ Partners is perfectly placed to offer clients the flexibility and collaborative thinking you get with smaller independents, but with the scale and deep expertise offered by a large network. With new investment and an ambitious management team it’s a very exciting time to be joining them.”

In addition to Howe's exit, it is also understood that Glucklich will leave the business. She has spent over 18 months leading Amplify, the media investment arm of the network.

It was not known if she had a role to go to at the time of writing. A spokesperson for Dentsu Aegis was not available to comment.

Prior to Amplify, Glucklich was UK chief executive of rival Publicis Groupe’s Starcom.
