Business on the move including Audi, Fitbit and Accenture

This week's acquisitions

  • Accenture Interactive has acquired digital consultancy Bow & Arrow for an undisclosed sum. The move marks the management consultancy's 10th buy-out of an agency in the past 12 months.
  • Google is set to buy Fitbit for $2.1bn.
  • LRW Group, an analytics-powered marketing services company and a portfolio company of Tailwind Capital, announced the acquisition of digital marketing agency T3.

Global wins

Audi has appointed 72&Sunny to oversee a global brand refresh including Audi's new slogan - "infused with new life."

French insurance giant AXA has split its global media duties between WPP and Publicis; the latter of which will also handle creative duties under an expanded remit.

EMEA wins

Macmillan Cancer Supporthas appointed Publicis Media’s Zenith to handle UK media planning and buying.

Publicis has won the media and creative for McCormick across Europe, Middle East and Africa which will see it set up a specialist hub called ‘Publicis Kitchen’ to service the account.

BoConcept has appointed We Are Social as a global social media partner, with a focus on Pinterest.

Wavemaker Select has been appointed by healthy and sustainable food company Wessanen UK as its media planning and buying agency. The deal was managed by Creativebrief.

Pearl & Dean has partnered with Everyman Cinema. The two will work together to offering media space to brands and agencies while brokering partnerships and other cinema activations.

Democracy has won the PR brief for online used car marketplace Heycar.

Zeiss has appointed One Black Bear as its UK agency for advertising, design, retailer support, PR and social media.

The wine bar Vagabond has appointed Clarity to help with its proposition development.

APAC wins

Danone has awarded Spark Foundry the brand's media duties in China.

Dentsu Impact has bagged the creative and social media mandate for Antara Senior Living.

Vietnam-based airline Vietjet has signed a deal with eSports organisation Team Flash that will see it become the team’s official airline partner.

Americas wins

Justin’s has named independent agency Barkley as its agency of record after a formal review.

Round has been appointed as the North American agency partner for Harlequin.

Launches

Dentsu India has launched Dentsu India Slingshot. The new division will provide specialised marketing and digital solutions in the areas of digital strategy, brand playbook and media playbook. It will also design and develop communications roadmap and advertising campaigns for clients across platforms.

Analytic Partners has opened a new office in Miami, to further expand the company’s US footprint, while also providing strategic support for the Latin American market.
