The Indian conglomerate, Emami, has appointed m/Six - the media planning agency owned by GroupM - to carry out all media buying for the business, to inform its marketing initiatives following a multi-agency pitch.

A provider of healthcare services across the subcontinent, Emami also incorporates an edible oil and bio-diesel manufacturing company and cement production arm as part of a broad business empire, with m/Six tasked with television buying and implementation across all these sectors.

Discussing the appointment, Harsh Agarwal, director of Emami Limited, stated, “We are confident that with the very dynamic and fast-changing media scenario, m/SIX with their global presence and wide experience & expertise will be able to develop a robust strategy for our media buying to add impetus to all our marketing initiatives.”

Adding to this, Saket Sinha, senior vice-president and head of m/SIX India said: “It’s a proud moment for m/SIX to receive the mandate for the Emami business. m/SIX has always stood for media embedded in strategy, incubating partners for Xcceleration of clients business and what makes us happy is that Emami was able to see the value we bring to accelerate their business.”

M/Six’s existing client base Burger King, Harley Davidson and Abbott Healthcare.
