Foodpanda has joined forces with over 1,000 retailers nation-wide for various convenience products such as groceries, beauty and baby care products.

According to an official statement, Foodpanda has been bolstering its product and engineering teams. Within the last three months, Foodpanda has hired 100 engineers in Singapore to optimise its back end technology, with a goal to hire up to 300 by end-2019.

Luc Andreani, managing director of Foodpanda Singapore said: "We know how busy and time-starved our lives can get. Over the past year, from the feedback we've received from our customers, it was clear that they wanted to enjoy even more convenience in their everyday lives. Our goal is to deliver what our customers need straight to their doors and save them time.

"We’re already successfully connected our customers with the best, most unique restaurants in their neighbourhoods and have been pushing the boundaries of the industry. This new expansion is a natural extension of our goal to deliver services that bring even more convenience and experiences to Singaporeans’ everyday lives."

The Drum previously spoke with Foodpanda’s Luc Andreani and head of marketing for Singapore, Laura Kantor on how Foodpanda is rebranding for the future with drone deliveries, chatbots and digital wallets.
